Sometimes, you just need to take a screenshot! Maybe what you see is really funny or something important that you can refer to later. Different smartphones have different methods to achieve this. For example, Redmi 6 pro can be configured to have a 3 finger slide down motion for screenshots.
What about the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra? Things here can be rather complicated. Samsung must have succeeded in making things a little complicated for something very simple like saving screenshots.
If you are looking for a different method for taking screenshots on one of the three models, we have a way to guide you.
Remember that the method described here will work for all three models and hence, we will only provide one guide.
So, let’s get started !!
Method 1: Use Bixby!
Yeah, Bixby is annoying but if you haven’t turned it off, it can take a screenshot for you. Here’s what you need to do it:
Step 1: On the screen you want to take the screenshot, say “Hi, Bixby” if you have configured or press and hold the side / power button if Bixby is mapped there. Make sure it is a long press to activate Bixby voice control.
Step 2: Now just say ‘Take a screenshot.’ Bixby will take a screenshot and save it in your phone’s gallery, but you will not have direct or instant editing options with this.
Step 3: You can also say, “Take Screenshot and Share on Twitter.” Bixby will do the exact same thing!
Method 2: Use Swipe Palm
To use this method, you must configure Palm Swipe. To ensure that you have configured this, do the following:
Configure Palm Swipe
Step 1: Open the settings and then Advanced Features.
Step 2: Select Motions and Gestures and choose Palm Swipe to Capture.
Take a screenshot with Palm Swipe
After you have configured the coconut swab feature, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: On the screen you want to capture, place your hand / palm on the left or right side of the cellphone screen. Make sure your palms are placed vertically.
Step 2: Stay in contact with the screen, swipe to the edge of the cellphone screen.
Step 3: Your screenshot will be taken after the flash screen and at the bottom of the screen you will immediately see options to share, edit, or save your screenshot.
In this case too, the screenshot is saved in your mobile gallery.
Method 3: Use the Button !!
This is a kind of universal method that works on many Android phones (not necessarily on every mobile). In the case of Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra, this method might be a little complicated! Follow the steps mentioned below to successfully use this method.
Step 1: Open the screen you want to capture.
Step 2: Press and hold the power button and the volume down button simultaneously.
Step 3: Make sure you don’t hold both buttons for more than 1 second. Yes Note this. If you hold the button for more than 1 second, your phone will consider it an old press. The phone will then launch a long press action that is configured by default or by you.
Step 4: When pressing two buttons, the screen will blink and you will prepare a screenshot.
A screenshot will allow you to immediately edit or share it or save it even though it is automatically saved in your phone’s gallery.
What if you want to take a screenshot of Whole Webpage?
There are times when you just want to take screenshots of the entire page. There are ways to do that on your Samsung S20, S20 + or S20 Ultra.
After you take a screenshot, follow the steps below:
Step 1: After you take a screenshot with Method 2 or 3, the screenshot will give you various options instantly. Find the box that has two downward facing arrows in it.
Step 2: Keep tapping on it continuously and the phone will continue to take a few screenshots by scrolling down the screen and finally stitching them together to form a long screenshot. Stop tapping where you want to stop.
Step 3: If you want to make sure that the entire web page is captured, just press and hold the box with the arrow facing down and the mobile will take a screenshot of the entire web page.
Now, edit or share or save your screenshot! Simple
